From the city centre you take the A4018 up Park Street, and then Whiteladies Road (both very well-known).     Harold Hockey is at the far end of Whiteladies Road, on the left, exactly opposite an Esso Garage.    That is one mile from the city centre.

From M5 Junction 17 take the A4018 into Bristol.     After 4 miles you are crossing a fine green area (the Downs).   As you leave the Downs to go to the city centre, Harold Hockey is on the right,  the Esso Garage on the left.

From M5 Junction 18 take the A4 towards Bristol.     This goes along the Avon Gorge for 3 miles, a magnificent drive.      You will see Brunel's Suspension Bridge getting closer.       A few hundred yards BEFORE the Bridge are traffic lights with bus lane.     Turn VERY SHARP LEFT up Bridge Valley Road.     Go up this steep winding road, keep going straight on, eventually past the ZOO (on the right).     When you reach the major traffic lights turn right towards the city centre.     The Esso Garage is on the left, Harold Hockey is opposite on the right.

From M5 Junction 19 go along the A369 towards Bristol.    After 3 miles take the left turn across the Clifton Suspension Bridge.    Wow! - this is the best route of all into the city.      When you come off the bridge take the first left (100 yards).     Then left again.     Keep going straight to the crossroads, then turn right.      You pass the ZOO on the right.     When you reach the major traffic lights turn right towards the city centre.  The Esso garage is on the left, Harold Hockey is opposite on the right.

From the city centre take the A4018 to the M5 (Junction 17). Harold Hockey is at the far end of Whiteladies Road opposite an Esso Garage. 

From Junction 17 on the M5 take the A4018 into Bristol.   After 4 miles you will be passing through a long expanse of green.     This is the famous Bristol Downs.     Just as the built-up area begins, you will see Harold Hockey on the right hand side, opposite the Esso garage which is on your left.
